SILLAGE - KINETIC
TRAIL Is composed like a photograph with a long exposure time. What is a point for the human eye becomes a line in the lens' eye. Light takes on a physical presence, materializes, and becomes permanent. The composition opens with oud notes, but not like a clear image - rather like a lingering image. Agarwood usually fills all the space, giving the fragrance a dark hue - in SILLAGE, oud is a light ribbon along which the other ingredients have been arranged. Imagine a vast open landscape, steep hills closing the horizon, with sharp parallel lines cutting the image in two equal parts. We blurred the lines with subtle saffron and violet notes, which act as a gentle movement softening the edges, a barely perceptible vibration. SILLAGE is a perfume in balance on the edge of impressions. Its individual elements are fluid, as if they were in constant motion. It transports us from the dry roughness of resins to the warm embraces of musk and vanilla with discretion and softness. A sillage generally says "I came here." The perfume boldly asserts "I am present," like an aftertaste, the imprint of a body on the sheets, the emotion left by a touch.
The French word "sillage" refers to the wake left in the water by a sailboat. In the context of perfume, sillage is described as a trail of fragrance that lingers in the air after a person has left. The train of a dress, the tail of a peacock, an invisible trace. Right behind you.
