A mystical rose

A place of pilgrimage and celebration, at over 2500 meters of altitude, the Christian city of Lalibela in Ethiopia concentrates all the mysteries around it. Legend has it that angels descended from heaven and built these twelve churches carved into the rock in a single night, in the 12th century.
