Eterno recalls the scent of a pine forest warmed by the sun.
The scent of wood and warm resins breathes a feeling of belonging, a feeling of protection.
A pristine shelter.
A feeling of belonging.
The forest closes around me, whispering its breath through its branches and sheltering me from the sun. The sky is covered in wood and resins, an impenetrable shield, protecting and isolating me from the world. There is a refuge, at an unknown address, suspended in infinity.
A doorway to safety and understanding, wide open onto a land of rebirth without storms. Time warps space and matter but you remain intact and emerge unscathed because you are the eternal refuge of immortal memories.
No one knows what my dream is made of: it is the same substance that inhabits an innocent thought like beauty.
I therefore lock that thought in the chamber of life, a mirrored box, where my feeling reflects into infinity.
I slowly decline and fade into the void. I give myself to the darkness of my home, a dwelling of belonging where I feel guarded and guardian. A secret jetty for all marine charts, so that I too can hide.
Not all journeys allude to their destination, but in their unfolding, they can lead you to the south of yourself.
The direction of my walk, of my journey... A path through the woods of a desert, in the shadow of a color I cannot discern.
Eight my steps, eight my number, symbol of infinity, prelude to return.
