TROMPETTE 8 - FILIPPO SORCINELLI

The "music extract" collection aims to describe with incense
the multiple sounds of the registers of the Grand Organ of Notre-Dame
in Paris.
This sixth new fragrance evokes in a synesthetic way
the trumpet register, belonging to the reed family, one of the oldest
organ registers. The first documented evidence of this register
is found in the description of a grand organ from the 1st century
BC, placed in a gladiator arena.
The reed records sound through the vibration of a tongue (the reed)
between two walls.
Characterized by a particularly metallic and harsh sound, like real trumpets,
they enrich and complete the instrument.
The lid, like the previous music extract, faithfully reproduces
the stops of the Grand Organ registers of Paris.
The Trumpet 8 is enclosed, like its predecessors, in a fully handmade wooden box,
reminiscent of the soundboards of large pipe organs.
