LASCIA CH'IO PIANGA - FILIPPO SORCINELLI

Good things are images that disappear from our mind. They are parts of us lost in the forest of habits. But the pain remains and describes what cannot be chosen. Maybe I don't want to forget, maybe it won't happen, I want to feel different.

Only free.

I remember crying, because it is stronger than forgetting. But leaving is sweeter than staying. I don't want to live in fear of what emerges from the darkness or what I left behind. I am who I wanted to be, even when it wasn't me speaking.

These were tears shed to the moon, always rising like a prayer sculpting my destiny. I sigh proudly, diving headfirst into the drama to not let go. So I follow my path scented with emerald, wherever it leads me.

It is a promise we make to each other, an oath, a cry, a sincerity, a courageous hymn.

I believe strongly and I never forget.

The eleventh fragrance by Filippo Sorcinelli celebrates the race towards freedom.
The initial emotional spark of this new project remains the pentagram, as evidenced by the bottle’s decoration: it is the music that moves, descending like tears to evoke the desire for freedom: the aria from Handel’s Rinaldo “Lascia ch'io pianga.”
In reality, this is only the genesis, as the project evolves, opening a much more articulated path: the concept of conquering a precious gift that every human being possesses and which, today more than ever, becomes a fundamental value.
Filippo Sorcinelli wishes to tell his human and artistic journey through the difficult conquest of this “absolute,” far from multiple enslavements: fashion, advertising, preconceived ideas. One only realizes the importance of freedom when it itself fails. And it is through each person’s experiences that we surpass the limits of prejudices to run straight across a symbolically green expanse, marked by a moon that accompanies and bathes our faces in a warm and enveloping light.
Freedom, a painful voice, however, does not always mean doing whatever one wants, because it must always be balanced with rights and values.
It is this new song that also makes us aware of limits, it is this sigh that, far from breath, unties the knots of our uncertainties to definitively indicate our vocation.
