The artwork was painted by Szabolcs Szerencsés’ great-grandfather in Balatonboglár in 1940. It is notable not only for its launch in Hungary, but also for its simultaneous release in Italy, the United States, and Latin America, a new source of pride for our country. As fresh and airy as a gentle breeze from Balaton, it touches the face and the soul. The first impression comes from the bright freshness of grapefruit, followed by delicate notes of moss, amber, and saffron. Jasmine evokes the romantic nights of a summer on Lake Balaton, while the earthy, green scent of nagarmotha transports you to the reeds of the southern shore. Lake Balaton is not just a fragrance; it is a journey rich in memories, reminding every Hungarian of the famous Balaton region and evoking countless precious moments. One of the key olfactory notes of Lake Balaton is vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides), also known as kusafű in Hungarian. Different varieties of vetiver from different parts of the world have very different aromas. The Haitian vetiver used in our Lake Balaton fragrance is exceptionally pure and airy, unlike other vetivers, such as the Javanese variety, which tends to have a smokier, dustier note. Vetiver is generally described as earthy, woody, and green. This note is also present in the following products: Caesar and La Bohème.
