SOUVENIRS DES MARQUISES - HAROLD & MAUDE
I keep the enchanted memory of these paradise islands whose scents filled our sweet walks. Sometimes, upon returning to Villa Enata, our host Avera taught me how to make these magnificent necklaces of white flowers with intoxicating fragrances. It could last for hours! Like a little girl making a pearl necklace, I delicately threaded, one by one, the flowers of the elegant gardenia, then the jasmine stars so fresh and sensual! We finally added the small tiaré flowers that ignited with their spicy and honeyed scents, and the monoi with the delicious aromas of coconut and vanilla...
As if it were a scent of paradise!

Each of our HAROLD & MAUDE candles is made from 100% natural waxes. No mineral wax, so no paraffin derived from petroleum. The fragrances we use are all guaranteed to be free from CMR substances and phthalates.
On its first use and after trimming the wick (about 5 mm), let the candle burn until the entire surface has become liquid! Since the size of the candle is significant, this may take about 4 hours of burning (plan for it). This step will prevent the wax from hollowing out and permanently forming a crater around the wick.
It is possible that the wax does not completely melt on one edge of your candle. (The pouring of our candles and the placement of our wicks are done one by one, by hand, and are therefore never centered to the millimeter.) In this case, just before extinguishing it, gently use the tip of a knife to lift and slide this small crescent of soft wax into the liquid wax.
Use your HAROLD & MAUDE candle with care! After firing, each ceramic pot received a matte, unglazed finish. This beautiful velvety appearance may be sensitive to small scratches during mishandling.
Beyond a room larger than 40m2, and for better fragrance diffusion, we recommend burning 2 candles of the same scent, placed far apart from each other.
Before each lighting, trim the wick so that it does not exceed 5 millimeters. Use a special candle wick trimmer to avoid scratching the ceramic.
Use a snuffer to extinguish it, to avoid black smoke and drowning the wick. If necessary, gently re-center it with the side of your wick trimmer or the tip of a knife while the wax is still soft.
