Sesame and grapefruit coexist and merge in the manner of the landscape that inspired them, the high plain of Kedu. Nestled on the island of Java, in the heart of Indonesia, this land is at once fertile, lush and volcanic. The generosity of nature and the eruptive proximity of Mount Merapi echo one another, just as the promise of sesame and the burst of grapefruit respond to each other. The same life force, the same overflowing energy circulates between them, giving the composition its full breadth.
